Did you know that, when using a multi-column layout in a dashboard, most columns will only display if you’ve checked the “Show this column when on a Dashboard” on the column’s “Advanced Options” tab?
If not, checking this box forces the column to present in the report. While you’re at it, you can create a custom column label for the column here.
But what if you are operating in text mode? Controlling these two fields is as follows:
displayname=Sick New Data shortview=true
And if you’re using “Shared Columns (How To Video)“, make sure that you have Shortview defined for each column in the text mode as follows:
column.1.shortview=true column.2.shortview=true column.3.shortview=true column.4.shortview=true
One more thing. When sharing columns, the first column’s “displayname” value takes precedent.
column.1.displayname=Sick New Field column.2.displayname=Some Other Field column.3.displayname=This or That column.4.displayname=Whatever
